We're Going to Lauscha!
Our Lauscha adventure will be here before we know it! Our tour runs from Sunday, May 19 - Monday, May 20, 2024.
We'll be leaving Berlin bright and early on Sunday morning and travel via coach bus. The bus will return to Berlin on Monday evening.

This year's Glass Princess, Rachel Van Liere, will be accompanying us on our bus ride from Berlin. But you'll have to wait until later to see her with her tiara and scepter!
When we arrive in Lauscha, we'll be lunching at Gasthof Brandt. After lunch we'll head over to the Museum für Glaskunst, the oldest glass museum in Germany. You'll be inspired by their extensive collection of regional glass, both old and new.

Lauscha is the birthplace of blown glass Christmas ornaments! After our visit to the museum, we'll be heading over to spend the rest of the afternoon with third-generation Christbaumschmuck artist Michael Haberland at his home studio. He'll demonstrate how traditional mold-blown, hand-silvered ornaments are fabricated. You can make one for yourself if you like!
